The Voice of God
A 60 year old woman was walking along a country road when she heard a voice as if from heaven; "You will live to be 100".
She was very pleased and decided to visit a plastic surgeon to make the most of the years to come.
The next week she was knocked down by a bus and she died and went to heaven.
She said to God." You promised me that I would live to 100!'
"Sorry." God said, but I didn't recognize you."
Who wants to e 100 anyway?
Yesterday I went swimming with my dog Boysie. We swim in my pool and he loves it when I throw the ball and we both race to get it.
Boysie is a 12 year old miniature Jack Russel. He's still as active as when he was young. When my late wife and I had our olive farm he was known as 'Rainbow Boy' and his picture was on our olive oil labels.
When I started a blogg he was mentioned a lot and was very popular. Eventually it became his and was called 'The Dog With a Blogg in Africa.' It was great fun and he had a following from such remote places as China and Reunion, in addition to South Africa and UK.
My 'regime' of cocanut oil and macademia nuts doesn't seem to be doing anything. Memory loss about the same. Yesterday I became quite worried in the afternoon when I couldn't remember if I had fed the dogs that morning. Julian assured me that I had, but these blank spots are a challenge. Memory loss or dementia as it has become is a bit like living in a cloud. It's strange. All the classic signs of forgetting recent events but remembering childhood events.
Of course the great fear is that dementia will become alzeimers. Memory loss is possibly the least of the problems that may come. if dementia does lead to alzeimers disease. According to my research strange and even aggressive behaviour can become a behaviour pattern of alzeimers. What a terrible prospect for so many people. My research has turned up no cure for either dementia or aalzeimers.
So the struggle continues! Lots of reading, writing and exercise nad careful eating. The latter was very difficult over Christmas, but I'm back on track now. The one thing that helps a lot is that I am very happy with life and I count my blessings every single day.
