ALZHEIMER'S IS THIS THE CURE?

As those who follow my blogs will know, I have dementia, which is probably the symptom of Alzheimer's.
The dementia has been with me for almost twenty years, manifesting itself slowly in increasing memory loss and increasing cognitive difficulties.
Fortunately, I am only in the early stages, but measurable deterioration has taken place over the past two or three years.
With a change of diet and increased exercise of body and mind I felt that my challenge was 'on hold', but recently an incident of deterioration led me to realise that I was 'in denial' and in fact the disease was still advancing relentlessly, albeit slowly.
Because I am writing a book about the experience of being a dementia patient I carried out extensive research. On the internet there is a plethora of information and all commentators state that there is no cure for either dementia or Alzheimer's.
However, at the beginning of my research a friend mentioned coconut oil as being something that he had heard of as being beneficial. I tried drinking a little each day, but gave up when no improvement took place.
About two weeks ago I heard of a Doctor Mary Newport who had reversed her husband's Alzheimer's, using coconut oil in 37 days. The claim is very specific and so I investigated further and the claim appears to be undoubtedly true. There was one difference between the oil that I had tried and the one Doctor Newport used and that I think may make the difference between success and failure. The type of coconut oil to be used is non-hydrogenerated with no transfat .Details can be found in the doctor's book; Alzheimer's Disease: What If There Were a Cure?'
We have been using the product for three days, myself to arrest my Alzheimer's and my wife to avoid getting it. Not surprisingly, there are no measurable results to date, but I will report the 'progress' on the blog daily.
Apart from this big hope that has appeared in our lives, everything goes on as usual. I write in the mornings, read in the afternoons and watch a little TV in the evening.
The weather herein Paarl is getting a little cooler as Autumn advances, but by mid day it is usually hot enough to eat outside and on Sunday we had a lovely day with my daughter Moeneebah and my grandchild Manissa.
The pool is too cold to use and so Boysie the Jack Russell is sulking a bit, as the pool is covered for the winter.
One sad thing that has happened this morning is that Sandy our coqatille has escaped. We are very fond of him and hope that he will come back.
